You can’t go home again

One week down, we made it. I miss my boy terribly, but I know he’s having fun with his friends in Arkansas. Next week he’ll be spending time with his dad’s family. Can’t believe he’s 16, flew on a plane by himself and is surviving this world without me.
My dad is visiting this week, which only reminds me of the little things with Clayton and the rest of the family that are going to make him grateful he doesn’t live with us anymore. It’s funny, as parents we think it will be different with our kids, but as they get older we all come to realize….. You can’t go home again.
