About Me
Hi! My name is Sandy, no not short for anything, just Sandy. I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness and I would like to share my experiences and the life long effects of my upbringing. If you read my blog, thank you and let me know what you think. It’s going to take some time to share all of my experience, I don’t pretend to be a writer, but I still think it’s important to get my story out there and hopefully eventually others will share their stories here too. Feel free to comment on a post or email me and let me know what you think, Sandy @ sandyslife.com
I’ve decided as I’ve been blogging I’m not going to try to explain the beliefs and reasoning of Jehovah’s Witnesses. This blog is about my life and experiences, if anyone is looking to learn about Jehovah’s Witnesses this is not the place.
My blog is a work in progress, there is more to come…..
I love it! It is indeed a lonely journey, filled with guilt and uncertainty. Had I lived near my family when I began studying it would have never happened for me but I lived 500 miles away and had no one. I can only imagine it would be an alienating experience to forsake your family and become a witness. As it was for me I was hoping to replace my family with these new friends who promised to be closer than family and always be there for me. All I had to do in return was quit celebrating holidays, not be patriotic, go to 5 hours of meetings a week and report how much time I spent every month talking about my new religion. I love u and think this is a great idea! Mom
